Jones Wedding

I had the wonderful privilege of working with Steve Schroeder last Saturday at a wedding at the beautiful Pineola Farms.  It is a beautiful setting and they did an amazing job taking care of the bride, groom, and wedding party.  If you're looking for a great location, you can't go wrong with Pineola Farms.  Likewise, it is always a pleasure to work with Steve.  He did my wedding 9 years ago (one of the last he shot using film - we still have all of the 5X5 proofs).  I spent the pre-ceremony part of the day working with the guys.  Here are just a few of the shots that I captured that day.  I'm sure Steve will be posting more on his website/Facebook soon.  It is always fun to work with other photographers!  Plus, I have found one of my new favorite venues!  Enjoy! 

 

Dalton Wedding

Wow!  This was one of those weddings that just takes your breath away.  The ceremony was a St. Joseph's in downtown Macon.  Beautiful bride + beautiful church + beautiful weather = some outstanding photographs!  I have a ton from this wedding but I'll stop at a few for now. 

A Stop-Motion Wedding

It is not uncommon to shoot a large number of pictures during a wedding. Of those pictures that are shot, not all get processed and edited. Then, of those that are processed and edited, only an elite number get passed onto the couple. This video is a "start to finish" and "stop motion inspired" film of the Millwood Wedding. Although we had several photographers, this is just one set of pictures from that day. This was a quick and dirty edit. None of these pictures have been processed in any way (except for one, which will probably catch your eye early on in the video).

Haley and Kristofer

Happy Anniversary to Haley and Kristofer.  I cannot believe that it has already been a year since they got married.  It was a beautiful day and a wonderful wedding.  Here are just a few pictures from their day!

Black & White

Betsy Watts and Josh Powell got married last fall.  It was a great wedding at Vineville Baptist Church followed by a reception at The Blacksmith Shop.  I edited several of her pictures for black and white and thought I'd share.  Betsy's mother, Dale Watts, is an amazing artist and if you're from Macon I'm sure you've seen some of her work (wish I had a link to post but can't seem to find one).  Anyway, hope you enjoy the pictures!     

 

 

Trying something new...

I'm trying something new tonight. I want to see how an iPhone post looks. These pictures are from a wedding I shot a while back. My wife posted them to Facebook, I saved them on my iPhone, and am trying to post via my phone.

Jon & Rachel - A Love Story

Our family grew this past weekend.  My wife's brother married my best friend's sister.  I've known the bride for 20+ years, so it was a really fun wedding having our families merge together.  I was asked to do a video for their rehearsal dinner.  I was supplied with pictures from the bride's family as well as the grooms.  The challenge was turning the old photographs into a story.  The entire "princess | cowboy" theme was developed from the one picture of Bo, Rachel's brother, as the dancing jester. Little did I know that Creede Hinshaw, the preacher, would borrow that theme and incorporate it into his opening remarks during the ceremony. So...the lesson to be learned. ..watch yourself when someone takes your picture, it may have an impact many years from now! We are so very happy that Rachel is now our sister-in-law!!!!!!

Willoughby Preview

Things have been really busy the past few weeks!  We had a wonderful wedding the first weekend of May.  Brooke and Jake are a great couple and I had a blast shooting their wedding day!  Here are a few pictures from the day. . .more to come soon.

santori | brown wedding

The santori | brown wedding was a first for me - a Jewish wedding.  Angie, the bride, called me about a week before the wedding wanting to know if I was available.  Luckily, I didn't have anything that afternoon and was able to film this special day for her and Charles.  Although we had spoken on the phone on several occasions, I had never met her until I arrived at the synagogue.  It was truly a wonderful experience on several levels.  One, they are an amazing couple and truly seemed to enjoy their wedding day (all too often couples seem overwhelmed or stressed).  Second, I had the opportunity to experience new traditions and customs.  Rabbi Bat-Or performed the various ceremonies and took the time to explain these customs to those in attendance.  It was very simple wedding and a wonderful reminder that love harnesses great power.  Although the package they paid for didn't include a "highlight" reel, I couldn't resist putting a short clip together for Angie and Charles.
